We appreciate your visit to our site and welcome the opportunity to tell you a bit about ourselves. A family owned and operated business, Grove Coin Company is the oldest numismatic firm in Minnesota under continuous ownership. Our story begins in 1962 when Paul Runze, current President, left a career in Architecture to follow his dream ... and make numismatics his livelyhood. First located in Cottage Grove, Minnesota (hence Grove Coin Co), our offices today are in beautiful Woodbury, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul. We are located within Collectors Gallery (another Runze family business) in the Tamarack Village Center at the intersection of I-94 and Radio Drive. |
Grove is active in many facets of numismatics and precious metals including retail, wholesale, and major coin shows in addition to on-line business. Our inventory is one of the most extensive and diversified in the Upper Midwest, ranging from basic U.S. copper, silver & gold to general foreign, ancient Greek & Roman, tokens and medals. We specialize in semi-key and key-date material and have a nice selection of many 19th and 20th century rarities. We pride ourselves on our reputation for fair dealings, competative pricing and conservative grading. Now under the umbrella of PCR Group, Inc, Grove is just one of several family business enterprises including Collectors Gallery, JP•EDITIONS and Trebuchet Design, an internet design and management company. Collectors Gallery is a 10,000 sq ft store offering a nice mix of collectibles, decor and ladies' accessories. Lines we represent include such famous names as Lladro, Swarovski, Armani, Brighton, Vera Bradley, Pandora and Department 56. JP•EDITIONS is an English-based company which we own and operate. Its claim to fame is a line of exquisitly hand-crafted models of some of Britains most famous architectural landmarks.
